How to Create a Campaign in MemoryFox 2.0

Written by Sharon Rajan

Creating a campaign in MemoryFox is quick and easy! Whether you're collecting stories, photos, videos, or testimonials, this guide will walk you through each step of setting up a campaign that's ready to share with your community.

Let's get started!

Step 1: Open the Campaigns Page

From the left-hand navigation menu, click Campaigns.

Next, select Add New to create a brand-new campaign.

Step 2: Branding and Landing Page

Start by entering a Campaign Name and Description to introduce your campaign to contributors.

You can also set a Campaign Goal to help your team track the number of submissions you'd like to receive.

Tip: Choose a clear, inviting title and description so contributors immediately understand what you're asking them to share.

Customize Your Landing Page

Now it's time to personalize your campaign and make it feel like your organization.

  • Upload a Campaign Logo by clicking on ‘add’.

  • Set the background color and CTA color to match your organization’s branding.

  • Update or keep the CTA label as it is.

You can also schedule your campaign by choosing a Start Date and End Date. If you'd like, MemoryFox can automatically prevent submissions before your campaign begins or after it ends.

As you make changes, you'll see a live mobile preview on the right side of the screen, allowing you to see exactly how your campaign will appear to contributors before it's published.

Please note: Don’t forget to save as you work through the campaign to see the live preview.

Step 4: Information Collection & Consent

Choose what information you'd like to collect before contributors submit their content.

For both the Name and Phone Number fields, you can decide whether each field should be:

  • Required

  • Optional

  • Hidden

The Email field is always included and will automatically be collected with every submission.

You can also add your own consent language to ensure contributors understand how their content will be used.

If your organization already has a consent form or privacy policy, you can include an External Consent URL so contributors can review it before submitting.

Step 5: Add Your Prompts

Prompts are the questions or calls-to-action that encourage contributors to share their stories.

To create your first prompt, click Add New.

For each prompt, you can add:

  • A title

  • A description (optional)

  • The type of submission you'd like to collect:

    • Video

    • Photo

    • Text

    • Audio

You can also include additional instructions to help contributors understand exactly what you're looking for. If you toggle ‘Show Instructions on Collection’ the contributors will be shown the instructions right after they click to start the prompt.

The clearer your prompt, the easier it is for contributors to share meaningful content.

Step 6: Customize Your Thank You Page

Once a contributor submits their story, they'll be taken to your Thank You page.

This is your opportunity to thank them for taking the time to contribute.

You can personalize this page by adding:

  • A custom thank-you message

  • A thank-you image or video

You can also include a button that links contributors to another page, such as:

  • Your website

  • A donation page

  • An event registration page

  • Any other page you'd like them to visit next

A thoughtful thank-you experience helps leave contributors with a positive final impression.

Step 7: Share Your Campaign

You're all set! In the final step, choose a custom URL for your campaign to make it easy to recognize and share.

Once you’re all set with your campaign, you can copy, open the campaign in a new tab and also access a QR code that contributors can scan using their mobile device.

You can share your campaign through email, social media, newsletters, printed materials, presentations, and more to start collecting stories from your community.

You're Ready to Start Collecting Stories!

Congratulations! Your campaign is now ready to share.

As contributors begin submitting their stories, you'll be able to review, organize, and manage all of their content from your Story Bank.

Happy storytelling!
